The second of four open qualifiers for the Europe Minor has concluded, with Sprout and Epsilon through to the closed qualifier.
Sprout made it past the round-of-16 after winning against Singularity, 16-13, on Mirage. They then took out Vexed, 2-0, and faced Arte et Marte, a mix of European players who beat EnVyUs Academy in the quarter-finals, for a spot in the Europe Minor Closed Qualifier.
Arte et Marte and Sprout started their series on Inferno, which the Danish-German team took the lead on quick and never looked back, giving up just a few rounds for a 12-3 half. They were then able to close the map out in the first three rounds of the CT side, 16-3.
Arte et Marte then tied it up on Cache after a fairly one-sided 10-5 CT half and four rounds in a row right after switching sides, which made for a 14-5 lead and the ability to tie the series within their sights. Sprout tried to close the gap with three rounds in a row, were unable to stop the European mix who closed it out 16-8.
After a very dominating T-side on Mirage, which they were able to take 11-4, Sprout ultimately went on to close the best of three. Although Shane "shaney" Smith & co. won six of the first seven rounds of the second half to try and mount a comeback, Sprout were able to ride it out, closing the series out 2-1 with a 16-10 victory on the map.

Epsilon beat eSuba, 16-14, and swept PAPERPLANES, 2-0, before going head-to-head with the Finns of HAVU—who made their way after taking out Tempo Storm and Rasmus "Gux" Ståhl’s hatersg0nnahate—for a spot in the next round.
The match kicked off on Train, where HAVU took a very early lead despite losing the pistol round, showing superiority on the CT side and closing the half 12-3. The Finns were were then unable to capitalize on the early lead, however letting Epsilon take it to overtime in the second half and winning it outright, 19-15, in overtime.
The second map started with HAVU once again taking the lead into the half, although only by the slightest of margins, 8-7. On the CT side, Epsilon were once again able to flip the match in their favour, winning seven rounds in a row for a 14-8 partial before HAVU could even get on the board. With such a lead, Tramaine "stan1ey" Stanley & co. were able to win out even after the Finnish side got to within one, closing it out 16-13.
